RJhog...just in case you might be in the Atlanta area this weekend, the Kiss Army tribute band plays again Saturday nite, the 12th, at a club in Buford, called 37 Main. Great club, and these guys do a fantastic job recreating a Kiss show.

You mentioned you were listening to a KISS unplugged boot where the audience sings Dr. Love. I would love to get a copy of that from you. If you are interested drop me a line. I have plenty of boot DVDs and CDs to trade.

I picked up the new Ace Frehley CD. I have only listened to the first 7 songs on it so far. I didn't really know what to expect from it. Not really impressed so far in the first listening of it. Sound quality is good production wise, his playing is heavy and okay, but the song lyrics are aweful. It may grow on me......

I don't think so. Did they still have on make up or was ot the Lick It Up tour? I saw the one in 1985, Animilize tour, the Hot In The Shade tour (1989 or 1990). Is it the concert from Augusta?
They would be cool.

Yeap, you and me. The tix went on sale the day after the Def Leppard / Tesla concert and we didn't buy them, but Robert told us a few days before the Great Whitesnake show that they released behind the stage seats and we got him to get us some, but nobody else wanted to go but us. It was a week nigh and you drove. I remember I fell asleep on the way home and you were listening to a cassette that I will not mention on this board...for your sake!

Yes we did, December 1987 at the Omni in Atlanta. They were in the round with Tesla opening up for them. You, me, Scotty, Robert, Frank Berry and Phillip Martin with Marie Berry and Lisa Browning. just you and me went one month later to the Omni and saw Great White open for Whitesnake and sat behind the stage.

Definitely buy it. It is 74 min long, but worth it (remember, I'm the guy that like those long albums!). THe song "Megaslowfade" threw me for a loop, didn't really sound like Lillian Axe, it's a bit of a new direction for them, but it's a good song. "Jesus Wept", "The Grand Sale of Finality", "Sad Day On Planet Earth" are all fantastic. You won't be disappointed picking this up, not really a weak track on the whole album.

Yep, have it and will be listening to it later today. Will let you know how it is, but if it's anything like their last two albums, it's just gotta be good!

Glad you like it. It was great for them to come back, I missed seeing with King's X last year due to work (damn them!) Definitely get their early stuff too, you won't be disappointed.

Yes, I saw the blogs on the main page, and am really enjoying it.

Keep up the good work!! Really cool to be able to hear all this music through this website. I hope to get some loaded on my page, if work slows down soon.

The only problem is....which play lists do I listen too first?

If you ever get up to the Atlanta area, let me know, and we can have our first "No Hair" band jam!!

Hey, listening to your 70's playlist now...another great idea, doing year by year songs! Listened to the hair band list yesterday and some earlier today.

Anyway, I can tell you and Jon were discussing Extreme, and I have to agree with Jon (something in the water around here?)..."Pornograffitti" is an awesome disc. Great guitar from Nuno on that one. And the new one is really, really good as well. If you get the new one, I like how the song styles change a lot as the disc plays...and Nuno changes up his guitar tone throughout the album. Its good stuff, fer shur!!

'Am I Ever Gonna Change' is from "III Sides To Every Story", it's the second part to three part mini-opus. Very good album, but my favorite is "Pornograffitti". It's deeper than 'More Than Words' (which I think is a good song actually). All 5 albums are solid, however their 4th, "Waiting For The Punchline" takes a few listens before it starts to grow on you. Their latest, "Saudedas de Rock" is a very good album as well. I would buy "Pornograffitti" first or even start with their self-titled debut and listen to them evolve from album to album. Whew...that was kinda long!

That's freaky since I was actually considering an all female list. Don't know if I could get 100 from different artists, but I can try!

That's cool. I listened to the 70's songs you had up yesterday, still bummed about no Partridge Family though! :-) I can't wait for hat you come up with for '82, that year always has stuck with me. I think there was some great music then, a lot of which still stands up today.

Haven't figured out what I want to work on for my next playlist....any ideas?

So through the 90's? Are you going to have a playlist dedicated to each year or have one playlist with songs starting from the 70's thru 90's? Big undertaking, but I have faith in you. And where's "I Think I Love You" from the Partridge Family for the 70's? How can you leave that out?

Hey, I'll try to get some music posted next week. Whenever I do, you can bet I'll load up some Big Jim Slade. Have no idea where their name came from...no one in the band has that name, but they are a new favorite for me, for sure.
