RJhog 1982 PLAYLIST

My biggest memory of 1982 is that I started my first year of high school at George P. Butler High School in good ole Augusta, Georgia. Otherwise, 1982 was a difficult year for me to create a playlist from. There were plenty of albums released, I just don't seem to have a lot of music from this particular year. Therefore, I only have 16 songs for this playlist. That's okay, because these 16 songs are still pretty good. Night Ranger (to this day one of the best bands in concert I've ever seen) and… Continue

RJhog 1977

Tragedy struck in 1977. We lost several members of Lynyrd Skynyrd in a plane crash only 3 days after the release of Street Survivors. I can only imagine how much more great music we would have gotten out of this great, classic line-up. On a happier note, my favorite band Kiss gave me two more albums (Love Gun and Alive II). Alive II had a 5 studio songs, and I included one of those (Rocket Ride) on this playlist. Meatloaf released Bat Out Of Hell, which is one of my all-time favorite albums. Fle… Continue

RJhog 1974

1974 was a landmark year for me and I didn't even know it at the time. I was 8 years old that February and had really just begun listening to music. Most of what I listened to was on the radio or from my sister's album collection. She also had a couple of 8 track tapes that I liked. The reason that year was so important was that my favorite all-time band released their debut and sophomore albums. That band was Kiss. I just didn't know at that time that they would become my favorite. It was tough… Continue

RJhog 1973

Well, another year, more great music. We welcomed four new bands into the rock world (Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Aerosmith & Queen). Just those bands brought us about 5 excellent guitar players. I think this playlist speaks for itself. There isn't a bad song on it. The playlist is: 1. The Joker - Steve Miller Band (The Joker) 2. The Real Me - The Who (Quadrophenia) 3. Tuesday's Gone - Lynyrd Skynyrd (pronounced leh-'nerd 'skin-nerd) 4. She's Gone - Hall & Oates (Abandoned… Continue

RJhog LOVE SONGS

No, not the cheesy love songs you might hear on the Delilah show. These are all very good songs that just happen to have the word love (or one of it's derivatives) in it's title. They are all classic rock songs except maybe the Neil Diamond song (you might actually hear that one on Delilah). The playlist starts out with a great rocker from AC/DC and closes out with another great rocker from Night Ranger. I'm not a huge fan of Motley Crue, but I included what I think is their best song on this pl… Continue
