I personally don't think that Bon Jovi sucks. After all, you have to reach a certain level of competence to suck at something, & they have yet to reach even that modest level. That means that the question is however: What's worse than sucking? Wha...
Agreed on Wings Over America. It was a 3 LP set as I recall.
But you cant forget Kiss ALIVE! and Alive II if your gonna talk live albums, Some of my other favorite Live release are...
Rush - R30 (really just pick one, they are killer live)
Eagle...
I believe, if memory serves me for a moment, that "Have a nice day" was a workaround for saying "Go F yourself" although myself, I'll just a soon use the proper term with no need to hide just what the F**K I mean.
...and if it truely is just my o...
Well, I dont know about selling out...maybe they're just getting old, like a lot of us, and they cant rock as hard anymore. But I do appreciate a good laugh, shinyranker!
I totally agree. The original attraction to Bon Jovi (from the male perspective) was that they were a kick ass American rock and roll band. No one can deny the impact "Slippery When Wet" had. It was chalked full of rock classics. Many of which are...
Devo thing? You got me stumped on that one. Not sure what you mean. But your comment about your better half? Now that, I do understand. The ladies seem to like Bon Jovi a lot!
I'm not a hardcore Purple/Rainbow fan but Ritchie Blackmore is one of the greatest rock guitarist of all time. I was more into Grand Funk, than I was DP, at the time, even though I admire them as a great rock band.
I'm not a fan at all and I'm from New Jersey (and I don't care for Springsteen either). I've always felt that they were an MTV band, nothing more. Gotta give them credit for sticking around for many years though.
And if they make it into the RRHO...
I have to disagree with Wayne on this one too. I think JBJ and Richie Sambora both have a lot of talent. The older stuff is the best, without a doubt, but their success is long running, and pretty much world wide. But, I've said it before, and I'l...
I disagree. I don't think they are Zeppelin or The Beatles, but they are not crap. At least not all together. Their first 6 albums are good to very good. I don't think their last few are very good, but I haven't heard the one that just came out so...
Wayne, I agree with you... I have tried to like them, but just cant get into it. My wife on the other hand says she likes them and so we have Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. But they just sit in the CD rack. I think she likes to watch them more ...
Bon Jovi is more like a brand of bread than music & JBJ is still all about his haircut, 25 years after their debut album. If The Osmonds would have been a rock & roll band they would have been Bon Jovi. I like to give this so called legendary grou...
Should be fun to watch. But, I gotta add in that I thought Prince was dynamite during his Super Bowl performance. Never been into Prince that much...his music is a little too poppy, maybe, for my taste? But, he really cut loose that night, and pla...
