Gene and Paul are saying that it is back to the seventies sound for KISS, this album will fit in with Love Gun, Rock And Roll Over and Destroyer. We will see. I'm not crazy about the title or album cover either, but the cover artist did the Rock And…
I just read an article about the recording of this album and I thought that it was funny that late in the recording process producer John "Mutt" Lange wanted to add some keyboards to a few songs and he called in a new unknown session keyboard player…
A group for all of the bands that started in the 1980's or had great success in the 80's but do not really fit in to the hair band genre. Bands like Metallica, Night Ranger, Tesla and Queensryche belong here.
Good review and I have always really liked Cinderella. They did go a little to bluesy at the end, but still great songs and great live band. There have been times when they were almost the Tom Kiefer band, he sang, played the guitar solos, played th…
Very good review and I listened to this album a lot when it came out like I did with lots of music but, looking back it was better than a lot of albums at that time and has held up well. If they had come out 4 to 5 years earlier, I believe that they…
I like your reviews, but why start at Invasion for Ratt? You should go back and do reviews for the first TWO Ratt albums now and then the rest. I was thinking about your reviews and it would be cool to put the release date on all of them at least th…
I haven't looked at of your songs yet, but you need to add one of your favorite ones, Zodiac Mindward and the Love Reaction's "Prime Mover". Here are four from a band that I have been re-listening to lately, Krokus; "Midnight Maniac", "Screaming in…
I saw WASP open for Quiet Riot on the QR Condition Critical tour back in '84 or '85 and WASP was almost unknown, maybe 10% of the people there has even heard of them and they BLEW QR away. The WASP music and stage act was awesome. They were a mixtur…
Suck Cherry? That is terrible, best bet is hope that the venues are reserved seating and you can get there late and just see KISS. Stay out of arena and look at/buy stuff.
I always thought that it was cool the way the 4 solo albums were all the same look, of course I was a dumb kid that thought the six million dollar man had good special effects also. J/K. What do you mean you don't have one of these songs because it'…
There have been so many people playing lead on KISS albums, even when they made you think that it was Ace, who really knows who that was playing the solo and finger tapping. Eddie didn't invent finger tapping, he just perfected it and made more melo…
Can I tie you down and point a gun at your head to get you to stop doing these reviews? Just messing with you buddy. Honestly, these are pretty good reviews that you are doing. You actually sound like a critic that LIKES music as opposed to all the…
I like several of the Vinnie Vincent Invasion songs. I remember the late Mark St.John' band after KISS - White Tiger, I had it on cassette in the late 1980's, I need to look for it in my old stuff. Eric Singer was in Badlands with Jake E. Lee and Ra…
I was the same way the first time I listened. I've probably been through it 3 times so far, and it is getting better. I totally agree with you on the lyrics, not too good. I love Ace, but the songwriting (lyric wise) and his vocals just aren't very good on this one. I know he's not a lead singer, but still, I expected a little better. I don't think it's terrible. I'm not big on Change The World. That's not very good at all.
Two other things, I asked you on Facebook about Shinedown because I've got 2 free tickets to see them at the Civic Center on October 19th. They are really quite good. My favorite current band. If you don't want to, that's cool, just let me know one way or another as soon as you can. Also, check out the Van Halen fan group page. I put two more reviews in there and would love to hear your thoughts on those two albums.
Yep, it's the one from Augusta in 1983. I'll get you a copy. The sound quality is a little hit and miss, but it's still kinda cool. I'm still looking for the 1985 (Asylum) show. No luck so far. I stumbled across the 1983 show. I knew we (I think You, Scottie and Myself) went in 1985, but I can't remember who I went with in 1983. I can't remember crap these days.
Randy, Did you go see Kiss in 1983 when they came to Augusta? I know we went to see them in 1985, but I can't remember about 1983. Anyway, if you did, I just got a copy of that show on cd.
I just made $718 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
Are you sure that was me and you for Whitesnake and GW??? I don't remember seeing either of those bands. I do remember LB at the Def Leppard concert. She was looking rather hot....
Man, I agree 100%. I can't even take Andrew to see Buck Cherry!!! I'm sure he would really enjoy the song "Porno Star" or "Crazy Bitch". I know a lot of Kiss' songs are about sex, but at least they don't lace all of their songs with profanity. It's good to hear from you, dude!
Randy, I saw Scottie yesterday. I mentioned the site to him again. Try to get him to sign up, I think he will really enjoy reading and responding to alot of the threads on here....and he can start a Loverboy fan page, I would join.
