You mentioned you were listening to a KISS unplugged boot where the audience sings Dr. Love. I would love to get a copy of that from you. If you are interested drop me a line. I have plenty of boot DVDs and CDs to trade.

I picked up the new Ace Frehley CD. I have only listened to the first 7 songs on it so far. I didn't really know what to expect from it. Not really impressed so far in the first listening of it. Sound quality is good production wise, his playing is heavy and okay, but the song lyrics are aweful. It may grow on me......

I don't think so. Did they still have on make up or was ot the Lick It Up tour? I saw the one in 1985, Animilize tour, the Hot In The Shade tour (1989 or 1990). Is it the concert from Augusta?
They would be cool.

Yeap, you and me. The tix went on sale the day after the Def Leppard / Tesla concert and we didn't buy them, but Robert told us a few days before the Great Whitesnake show that they released behind the stage seats and we got him to get us some, but nobody else wanted to go but us. It was a week nigh and you drove. I remember I fell asleep on the way home and you were listening to a cassette that I will not mention on this board...for your sake!

Yes we did, December 1987 at the Omni in Atlanta. They were in the round with Tesla opening up for them. You, me, Scotty, Robert, Frank Berry and Phillip Martin with Marie Berry and Lisa Browning. just you and me went one month later to the Omni and saw Great White open for Whitesnake and sat behind the stage.

Definitely buy it. It is 74 min long, but worth it (remember, I'm the guy that like those long albums!). THe song "Megaslowfade" threw me for a loop, didn't really sound like Lillian Axe, it's a bit of a new direction for them, but it's a good song. "Jesus Wept", "The Grand Sale of Finality", "Sad Day On Planet Earth" are all fantastic. You won't be disappointed picking this up, not really a weak track on the whole album.

Yep, have it and will be listening to it later today. Will let you know how it is, but if it's anything like their last two albums, it's just gotta be good!

Glad you like it. It was great for them to come back, I missed seeing with King's X last year due to work (damn them!) Definitely get their early stuff too, you won't be disappointed.

Yes, I saw the blogs on the main page, and am really enjoying it.

Keep up the good work!! Really cool to be able to hear all this music through this website. I hope to get some loaded on my page, if work slows down soon.

The only problem is....which play lists do I listen too first?

If you ever get up to the Atlanta area, let me know, and we can have our first "No Hair" band jam!!

KISS - "Sonic Boom"

It's on the Destroyer album. I've always loved that song. The re-record is fairly true to the original, but my heart is with the original. To me, the drum intro on the original just sounds so mammo...

Gordon, you are correct on the bonus disc. Those are re-recorded versions done by the current line-up. It's the same recordings that were released a while back in Japan under the name Jigoku Retsud...

1984 Playlist

Wow! I graduated High School way back in 1984. That was twenty-five years ago. That sounds like a long time, but it seems like yesterday. Maybe that's why I chose Foreigner's "That Was Yesterday" over "I Want To Know What Love Is", which was a much bigger hit. There are two songs on this playlist that I can't hear today without immediately thinking of 1984. First and foremost would be Van Halen's "Jump". Of course, it was from the album "1984". I also cheated a little on this one and included th… Continue

1983 PLAYLIST

Well, what can I say about 1983? A few things. In 1983 I finished my Junior year of High School and started my Senior year. I lost a good friend in a traffic accident. And I got my first girlfriend. The biggest event music wise for me in 1983 was a surprise that I didn't see coming. I walked into a local record store to see what new music was out, and an album caught my eye. The cover was 4 dudes standing there with a white background and I picked it up. When I saw the band's name, Kiss, I almos… Continue

Colors Playlist

I was sitting around the other day, thinking about making a good playlist. Several things came to mind but I decided to do a playlist consisting of songs that mention a color in the title. Out of 14,000 songs in my iTunes library, I could only come up with about 25 or so rock songs that fit this playlist. That was surprising to me. I would have thought there would be more. I may have missed some based on other colors that are less known. I culled my playlist to 23 very worthy songs. The color bl… Continue

1982 PLAYLIST

My biggest memory of 1982 is that I started my first year of high school at George P. Butler High School in good ole Augusta, Georgia. Otherwise, 1982 was a difficult year for me to create a playlist from. There were plenty of albums released, I just don't seem to have a lot of music from this particular year. Therefore, I only have 16 songs for this playlist. That's okay, because these 16 songs are still pretty good. Night Ranger (to this day one of the best bands in concert I've ever seen) and… Continue

1981 PLAYLIST

A quick word about the 1981 playlist. This is an edited blog entry. I originally did a 1981 playlist before I decided to do playlists for all of the 70’s and 80’s, so here I have just changed a few songs and created this new playlist. I have 2 debuts on the list. The first is Stevie Nicks solo debut, “Bella Donna”. The second is Motley Crue’s “Too Fast For Love”. One of the songs I added was “Live Wire”, which is taken from that album. That’s a good song. I also added “On The Loose” by Saga. Kis… Continue
