Yeah, most of the first wave of CD's and ones they haven't bothered to remaster sound bad compared to the LP.
Don't forget having a 90 min cassette, buying an album and taping it only to find out it was longer than 45 min. Those were the days.

Ever re-bought a CD that said, analog recording preserved same as the original, but the CD quality was worse than the vinyl LP you have? Plus theres still nothing like trying to get the needle perfectly placed on your favorite song that's not the first song on the record.
