well thank you STID, unfortunately Uncle Sam would have a different tune to sing for me if I attempt a border crossing.

I'll just have to put my ear to the wall, then like a distant scream
I'll hear one guitar, just blew me away
I'll see STARZ in my eyes,

well you get the rest.

Danno, if you can make it to Detroit on the 13th of Nov, Starz are playing the Token lounge, I will have a pint waiting for you.

Cheers.

oh how I love this band. Back in about 86/87 I tried to get to do Coliseum Rock/Its a Riot for airband at my highschool, but it wasn't aloud. I tried for Cooper as well, and again it was no way. I would have loved to have done Starz. But seeing as they (judges committee)never even heard of them and it wasn't the flavour of the day it didn't fit. Oh well, I still love them and wish they would come up Canada way sometime.

Peter, was that the Attention Shoppers or Coliseum Rock tour ?
Was it Brendan Harkin and Piet Sweval or Bobby Messano and Orville Davis on guitar and bass respectively ?
In 2005 they played Starzfest in NJ, every track from all 4 albums with original members where possible. Piet died in 1980 so new member George stood in. If I had seen them back in the day, it would have been a 40 minute set with lots of my favourite tracks missing, but with Starzfest, you got the lot. The highlight was 'Good ale we seek', one of my favourite tracks, played live for the first time ever and sounded perfect.
Also sets by Hardcore and Hellcats. There was so much on offer and we all were able to get up and personal. It was a truly magical weekend.
If you are in Cleveland on Nov 14th, then go see them at the Beachland Ballroom, I will meet you there.

I saw them open for Rush in 1979. They were amazing! And I think that show set a record for the two biggest drums kits on the same bill. Joe's kit was incredible and of course Neil's was the ultimate as well. Pull the Plug was the highlight...just awesome!

Absolutely love Starz from the moment I heard the opening riff to Cherry Baby back in 77. Had to wait 27 years before I got to see them live, but have made up for lost time. Seen them 7 times so far and have two more shows in Nov, can't wait.
