Where Classic Rock and Metal Music Fans Hang Out

The press releases are out and the rumor mill is in full swing. Albeit, controlled by Paul and Gene. Whats everyone hearing prior to release? I heard the Delilah soundbyte fro Kiss Online, wasnt sure what to think since the quality was poor. And the Cover Art? WTF?

I do like the WalMart packaging of the 3 CD's, 1 with remade classics, the new tunes and a DVD all for $12! I'll still buy it when its released...

Hmmmm, I might buy it, but it depends on, what the reviews (Jeb's fx.) are, and I have to hear a few numbers first.
It IS a half KISS tribute-band and NOT the real thing, but if it sounds terrific, then I'll buy it.
There's a much bigger change, that I'm going to buy Ace's album.

Gene and Paul are saying that it is back to the seventies sound for KISS, this album will fit in with Love Gun, Rock And Roll Over and Destroyer. We will see. I'm not crazy about the title or album cover either, but the cover artist did the Rock And Roll Over album cover back then, which was a bad, cheap looking cover in my opinion. The Wal-Mart packaging will be similar to last years release by Journey, which is one disc of new material, one disc of newly re-ecorded classics and a DVD for $12. Release date is october 6th.

Well, first off, I am not crazy about the title or the cover. But as long as the music is good, that's what I really care about. I also heard the sample of Modern Day Delilah on Kiss Online and I like it so far. I know it's hard to tell how good a song is from a short sample, but I definitely think you can tell if a song sucks from a short sample. I like what I hear so far (the quality is atrocious). If you have XM/Sirius radio, you might wanna keep it tuned to The Boneyard (53 on XM). The song is supposed to be released to the radio market today(this is what I've read on KissFAQ.com, which is a pretty good message board for all things Kiss if anyone is interested). Overall, I'm very excited about it being a Walmart exclusive with the extra discs. I also hope Walmart carries the back catalogue like they did for AC/DC. Not that I'm missing any albums, but it's about time to refurbish the collection. A few cool t-shirts would be nice as well.

As far as Ace Frehley goes, I really like his new song (Outer Space) and I am looking foward to the release of Anomaly (spelling???). Up until this week, Ace has really been outpromoting Kiss.

Bruce Kulick is also releasing a new album, and from what I've read (and heard), it's gonna be excellent as well.

Lastly, I hope the tour comes to the southeast. I really wanna take my son to see them. The only problem is the opener, Buckcherry. I have no problem sitting through their show, but I have heard the songs Crazy Bitch and Porno Star and would prefer my 13 year old not to hear those (I know he's heard worse at school, but I don't want to put it right in front of him). Has anyone who reads this seen Buckcherry? I'd like to know what to expect.

Holy F, I love tha new song. That is solid. Gene is really layin hard on the bass I tell ya. As far as the cover art goes itis obviously a throwback to RnR Over with a fresh twist. Being a graphic artist myself, in the trade for over 25 years, I like it. Especially the pencil sketch rough that was shown on Kissonline. I am surprised though that seeing as its the same guy who did RnR Over, why he would want to stick with that. I can only assume that he had many more alternate ideas and this was thrown in as a joke and low n behold Gene and Paul were all over it. Anyway, I can't wait for the release. and $12 bucks. come on. Thats frickin unbelieveable.
