I like Proto-Kaw's "Before Became After" (especially like "Greenburg, Glickstein, Charles, David, Smith and Jones" for some odd reason) but didn't like "The Wait Of Glory" as much.

Have "Schemer-Dreamer", "Glossolalia" and "Shadowman" from Walsh, with my favorite being "Shadowman".

Nothing from Livgren's solo output or anything by Streets.

Gents, did you also miss out on any of the subsequent Kansas releases ?

1, Live at the Whiskey

2, Freaks of Nature.

3, Somewhere to Elsewhere.

4, Dust in the Wind (Live)

5, Always Never the Same (Live with the London Symphony Orchestra)

6, Device-Drums-Voice (Yet another live CD)

To keep the thread alive, anyone like 'Streets', Kerry's or Steves solo stuff, and anyone into 'Proto~kaw' ?

I actually picked up "In The Spirit Of Things" on cassette at a farmer's surplus-type store in Nebraska about 20 years ago. It was a cutout and went for about a buck, but I was kind of sceptical since it didn't have the normal Kansas logo, and the only song I had heard was "Stand Beside Me". When I listened to it on my way home, I was very surprised how good it was. I then lent it out to a friend who like Kansas and he too was surprised as well and then went out to get himself a copy. I just think it's vastly underrated.

That's a tough choice but If I had to choose, I would probably pick "Song For America". There's just something about every song on that album that blows me away! Jon, I'm ashamed to admit that I have never heard of "In The Spirit Of Things". But I will try and remedy that soon!

Hi Jon, if I was forced to choose then, 'Leftoverture' and 'Point Of Know Return' are the ones which rock my boat the most.

I agree with I T S O T, it was a return to form after LP's like Vinyl Confessions, Drastic Measures and Power with great tracks like 'The Big Sky', 'Inside Of Me', 'The Preacher' and 'Bells Of'.

My favorite album by Kansas is "In The Spirit Of Things". Anyone else like this album? "Bells Of Saint James" is a great song, I never get tired of listening to it.
