"Written In The Sand" - Michael Schenker Group
"Strange Generation" - Dirty Americans
and two independent, Atlanta based bands..."The Low Life" by Dropsonic, and "Rebirth" by Hottboxx, here at work today.

Last night at home..."Sonic Boom" and the "Klassic" bonus disc from Kiss, and the self-titled "Big Jim Slade". BJS is my current rave fave...they have 4 discs, all chock full of great tunes, with killer melody and harmony on vocals, and great guitar work too.

Classic rock is great, but so is supporting independent bands that have major skillz, but still need their lucky break.

Today, its...

"XV" by King's X (wow, what a career of solid releases from an under-appreciated band)
"Saudades De Rock" by Extreme (killer reunion disc - Nuno is one of the best players on the planet)
"Forever More" by Tesla (I knew I would start liking this after being a little disappointed at first)
"Smash Hits" by Jimmy Hendrix Experience (no comment needed!)
"Blackbird" by Alter Bridge (I like Creed too, but I hope Alter Bridge reforms later on...Myles Kennedy has major talent, and Mark Tremonti was really showing his chops on this record)
"Optimus" by John Norum (I can see where a lot of hard rockers might not dig Europe, but this solo disc is outstanding...Norum can sing well, writes good songs, and can blister a guitar...all rock guitarists should check this out...very good guitar work throughout).
