Bands don't seem to tour like they used to, and I don't see Starz, Angel, Kansas, Starcastle or Kim Mitchell setting foot on Limey soil, so I have decided to do the travelling instead.
I am hoping for a Kim Mitchell, Starcastle and Honeymoon Suite tours this year, and I will be there.
Went to the show last summer with Testament, Motorhead, Heaven and Hell, and Judas Priest and let me tell you, it was INCREDIBLE!!!! All four bands were on the ball. Testament was a BIG surprise and I enjoyed them very much. Alex Skolnik is truly one of the best guitar players I have ever seen, and I've seen thousands of 'em. Motorhead was cool as hell. Sabbath were awesome. Dio can still sing like you wouldn't believe. I took my son. He's into Dashboard Confessional. Told him he was gonna see how the big boys do it. He kept cracking jokes about wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and such. By the time Priest came out and pummeled him about the head, he was dumbstruck. I asked him what he thought of the show and when he picked his jaw up off the ground all he could say was "I never knew it could be this way". Judas Priest were mind blowing. It was truly one of the best shows I have EVER seen.
I've lost my interest in concerts I'm afraid. There aren't any decent venues near me and I find the price of tickets to be be ridiculous. I've seen all of the bands that I wanted to with very few exceptions and I don't need to see most of them again.
Well, I'm gonna see Eric Clapton/Steve Winwood in Dallas on June 23 & I'm really excited about that show. I've seen Clapton 7 times & Winwood one time, but they should be awesome together. Also, I hope that the Allman Brothers Band come to Dallas as well, cause I want to see them.
