Where Classic Rock and Metal Music Fans Hang Out

.....I hate to say it, but having seen how much Heaven and Hell have declined between their 2007 tour and this one, I have to say it's time to hang them up boys.

A plodding mediocre new album, recycled riffs and lyrics; a low-energy and very short set as compared to what we saw in 2007....it's time boys, Geezer excepted. You've had great careers, but if this is the best you can do then you're done.

Have never seen Heaven And Hell live, so I cant compare the performances on tour. But I do have to respectfully disagree on your assesment of the new album. I think it is outstanding, and embraces the classic Sabbath pedigree, but does not "tread" too much on past works. Its a CD that I definitely have in my "heavy rotation" for listening right now.

I do think that any REAL rock band, in concert, should be an energizing event...for both the audience, and the performers. So, your comment on the band having "a low-energy and very short set" is of concern. Perhaps their ages are catching up to them, at least in the live realm. But again, I think the new album is very good, and it flows well, for my tastes at least.

I agree with Gordon in regards to the album. I think it is on a par with anything else that they've ever released! "Bible Black", "Follow the Tears", "Breaking into Heaven" are all awesome and the rest of the album is very solid as well. Give it a few more listens and I'm sure it will start to open up for you...or not (LOL!) I saw them on the first reunion tour and they were fantastic! I didn't see them this time however, so I can't comment on that. I hope RJD is still belting it out into his 70's! (I think he's 67 now!)
