Just heard this today, nice effort, Tate's vocals are getting a bit meh but the songs are good, the concept works and lyrically it's very good too.

Hey Jeb...I just read the interview and it was excellent. I was glad to read an interview where Geoff Tate didn't come off sounding like a jerk.

I now have received the album and I am quite impressed. In fact, I think that the first 4 songs are right up there with the best stuff that they've done. After that it's a bit hit and miss (If I Were King is quite a disappointment) but all in all a really strong album.
