What cd's have you purchased lately? Tonight I bought:
1. Crooked X - Self Titled
2. Uriah Heep - Wake The Sleeper
3. Blackfoot - Strikes
4. Dokken - Lightning Strikes Again
5. Nazareth - The Newz
6. King's X - XV
7. Alice Cooper - Along Came A Spider
8. Mastodon - Crack The Skye
Last week I bought:
1. Journey - Arrival
2. Neil Young - Greatest Hits
3. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
4. Heart - Dreamboat Annie
5. Def Leppard - High 'N' Dry
6. Eagles - Long Road Out Of Eden
7. Night Ranger - Midnight Madness
8. Night Ranger - Dawn Patrol
Some of these I've had before and somehow managed to lose (probably that ex-wife). Most are totally new to me and I can't wait to listen. These will be on my iPod tonight and in my ear starting tomorrow. Maybe I'll actually start posting some reviews one of these days.
Motley Crue - Saints Of Los Angeles
Spinal Tap - Back From The Dead
Chickenfoot - Chickenfoot
Ratt - Reach For The Sky
Ratt - Invasion Of Your Privacy
Alice Cooper - Alice Cooper Goes To Hell
Skid Row - Slave To The Grind
Dokken - Back For The Attack
White Lion - Pride
Rick Springfield - Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet
Damn Yankees - Damn Yankees
I got the first 3 for Father's Day and Amazon had the others for $4.97 each. I will be stopping by Best Buy today after work to pick up:
Native Window - Native Window
Cheap Trick - The Latest
Dream Theater - Black Clouds & Silver Linings
It is....I think BB gets it on July 21st...they also did not get Native Window and they were out of Dream Theater the deluxe edition...what a bummer. I'll be on Amazon shortly. I did pick up the new one by Tim "Ripper" Owens (Play My Game).
And my better half went to a garage sale this weekend and picked these up for me:
Peter Gabriel--"So"
Montrose--"Montrose"
Stevie Ray Vaughan--"Couldn't Stand The Weather"
Temple Of The Dog--"Temple Of The Dog"
Tesla--"Psychotic Supper"
Thunder--"Laughing On Judgement Day"
Ratt--"Dancing Undercover" & "Reach For The Sky"
The Cult--"Electric"
What's weird too is that Best Buy here had Japanese versions of a bunch of UFO albums in cardboard sleeves. Never seen them carry something like that in stores.
Just picked up the new UFO,Chickenfoot, and Cheap Trick cd's. None of them are as strong as I'd hoped right out of the gate but I will be giving repeated listens to all three so I'm sure they will grow on me. Don't get me wrong, they're all very good, I just don't think they are s good as I had hoped for. I think UFO's You Are Here is a lot better than the new one, but we'll see.
Quiet Riot - Metal Health
Keel- Keel
Keel - The Right To Rock
W.A.S.P. - The Last Command
Motley Crue - Theatre Of Pain
Extreme - Extreme II Pornograffitti
Thanks to Jon, I now own 4 Extreme CD's. I didn't own any 6 weeks ago. I've listened to Saudades De Rock in it's entirety and like it and I've listened to the first 4 songs of their self-titled debut and I like it so far......
All I have to say is if that's another Extreme album (and I imagine that it is), I'm gonna listen to the 4 that I now own before I buy another one. I do like what I've heard so far. I don't know why I haven't given them a chance until now. Thanks.....
