Where Classic Rock and Metal Music Fans Hang Out

What cd's have you purchased lately? Tonight I bought:
1. Crooked X - Self Titled
2. Uriah Heep - Wake The Sleeper
3. Blackfoot - Strikes
4. Dokken - Lightning Strikes Again
5. Nazareth - The Newz
6. King's X - XV
7. Alice Cooper - Along Came A Spider
8. Mastodon - Crack The Skye

Last week I bought:

1. Journey - Arrival
2. Neil Young - Greatest Hits
3. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
4. Heart - Dreamboat Annie
5. Def Leppard - High 'N' Dry
6. Eagles - Long Road Out Of Eden
7. Night Ranger - Midnight Madness
8. Night Ranger - Dawn Patrol

Some of these I've had before and somehow managed to lose (probably that ex-wife). Most are totally new to me and I can't wait to listen. These will be on my iPod tonight and in my ear starting tomorrow. Maybe I'll actually start posting some reviews one of these days.

Gordon, Break out that music player. I would love to hear some samples, especially Big Jim Slade (with all of this raving you've been doing about him) and Cold Truth. I've heard some of their samples but would love to hear some complete songs. Peace!!

Yeah, Best Buy is going downhill CD wise. Their selection is getting smaller and smaller and it's a pain to try to find stuff since they have them in these stupid metal racks and there's nospace in the aisle anymore. I buy about 95% of CD's online now, it's better since you can price compare. Amazon, DeepDiscount and CD Universe are where I generally buy stuff from now.

And I thought I bought a lot. You and Gordon are putting me to shame. I bow down to both of you!

Jon, Amazon has some hair bands on sale for $4.97. They have some Ratt, Dokken, White Lion, Great White, Bullet Boys and others.

"Nova's Dream" is really good.

Scott,

I see that our tastes are aligned. We obviously like Canadian rock. Now Chickenfoot and the DD and Doobies aren't but he rest are and all are great. I have the Nova's Dream album and love it. I just recently realized who Chilliwack were and I have this in my Amazaon cart to buy later. I love Kim Mitchell and wish he was known in the US better. Would love to buy that greatest hits album but its too pricey for me now. Bryan Adams is good too but too many ballads kill the momentum of his live shows.

What did you think of Chickenfoot? I still haven't really fallen for it. It has moments of greatness but most of the songs just aren't that memorable.
