Where Classic Rock and Metal Music Fans Hang Out

Motley Crue aren't the baddest band in rock & roll, in fact, they're one of the dumbest. Shout AT The Devil is their only great classic rock album, while the other ones from Theatre Of Pain to Dr, Feelgood, could have been done by the Osmonds. The Crue are just a third rate version of Kiss, Aerosmith & Zeppelin & Tommy Lee is known for being the ex-husband of Pamela Anderson, than his drumming. I will admit that he's a great drummer, in his own right, but he's not Ginger Baker, John Bonham or Keith Moon, by a long shot. I read their autobiography The Dirt & I thought it was silly, because they're only bad boys, for the cameras. I'm looking forward to reading the ones from the real bad boys of rock like Steven Tyler, Ozzy Osbourne & Keith Richards. I don't take Motley Crue seriously at all, as a band or anything & they don't deserve to be inducted into the RNRHOF.

Well I consider Motley Crue's only great album to be their first, 'Too Fast For Love' while the rest are mediocre to say the least. However, live they are really good. True they are not bad boys, & every story they have seems to have been ripped off Aerosmith.

I think Keith Moon was rock's original bad boy but I digress. As for Motley well... I have to agree that a large portion of their discography is rather unsignificant. That being said, Too Fast For Love remains their best work, followed by Shout At the Devil. Every release after that seemed to slowly get more watered down, although I thought their self-titled 1994 album with John Corabi kicked ass.

I have to agree that their early stuff is the best. Seen them live once. Dr. Feelgood Tour. Great show. Saw Vince solo a few years back, he sang about every third word. I actually just watched a concert of their's on VH1 Classic today. I t was from their latest tour. Vince sounded horrible!!

That's always been one of my major beefs with Vince Neil, the fact that he's made a career out of singing every third word. Sure he's a charismatic enough frontman when he's sober, but charisma alone does not make a lead singer. I often wondered how the band would have sounded had they decided to get someone who could really a sing.

Sure their tours are rock spectacles but with Vince and Tommy with his titty cam theatrics I've had enough. I saw them three times in the 80's and after the Dr. Feelgood tour I honestly felt like there wasn't much else for them to accomplish. There was only way to go from there and that was down.

I don't think Vince Neil has any charisma at all, he's an average frontman & believes his own hype. The Crue are a joke, will always be a joke & Tommy Lee is a celebrity, more than a rock star.

I agree that the John Corabi album is the best thing that they ever did!

Corabi doesnt get enough credit... The Crue release and the Union releases he did with Bruce Kulick are killer!
