Where Classic Rock and Metal Music Fans Hang Out

Ok, go ahead and tell us what your most embarrasing muscial admission is...what do you admit, but its embarrasing?

Example: Jon once said that his favorite Kiss release is "Music From The Elder". Someone else, dont remember who, said that when they want to mellow out, they listen to the Bee Gees. Our fearless leader, Mr. Jeb Wright, admitted he really likes Brett Michaels "Rock Of Love" show.

Heres' mine: (the hands are sweaty...I'll never live this down...I'm gonna get bashed to pieces...oh NO!!!)...but...I really, really do like...OMG...I cant do it...I wont be able to go out in public...ah, eff it...here goes...

I like Nickelback!!!

Ohh, the shame, the shame, THE SHAME!! Who's hit list am I on now??? AAARRRGGHHH!

Gordon, first of all I don't think it's shameful at all to like Nickelback. I liked them at one time. However, I'm pretty sick of hearing songs from their last 2 cd's on the radio. Luckily, I can listen to the hair band channel and the classic rock channel on xm and not hear them.

Secondly, I'm gonna do you one better. "Weekend In New England" by Barry Manilow is one of my favorite all-time mellow songs. That's pretty embarassing!!!

I once went to a Barry Manilow concert! In the round, no less! But, hey, SHE bought the tickets, and she made it worthwhile! :)

2 hours of misery for half an hour of fun...and 20 years later, waaaaaaaay more misery...da ex...

For some reason, I know all the words to "Rhinestone Cowboy". Why???

And as for Barry...I listen to 70's music every Monday at work, and "Copacabana" is played at least once. That's a pretty violent song if you listen to the lyrics. Kinda disgusting. Probably screwed up the youth of that day.

I think the Bee Gees are a great pop group & Crazy Horses by the Osmond Bros. has more kick than the whole Bon Jovi catalogue.

Okay here it goes.................. I have and quite enjoy the Nena self titled album (the one with 99 Red ballons). I also enjoy the Time Life CD,s of super hits of the seventies. BTW Wayne the Bee Gees are an amazing pop group (esp. their early work, which I think ranks with the Beatles).

So far the only embarrassing item in this thread is the Osmond Brothers (LOL!) Sorry just kidding ....

I still love Chic... Le Freak, Dance Dance Dance and Good Times, I also enjoy remixes of some hard to find Disco hits ... Cracks me up.

Ok , well I have to admit I have the odd musical embarrassment. I see people though are mentioning The Bee Gees...Well I was born & raised in Manchester England....home of the Bee Gees!

My own musical diarreha factor revolves around the fact I do like.....erm....ABBA! Yes my wife finds this very risable, taking the piss at every opportunity. She even bought me a greatest hits of theirs for Christmas. She reckons I need help.

I'm off to listen to 'Eagle' now....

I also went to see Wayne Newton in 1992 in Branson Mo. I actually found his Vegas style show very entertaining. I saw Glen Campbell during that same trip and he was also very good.
