Well I saw this gig in Concord on Friday & Coverdale was in top form. Sure he is not as good as he was in 1982 but then who is? He still sounded great though.
Priest well they do deliver like they always do, but what has happened to Rob Halford's stage presence? It is non-existent. Now he spends most of the time hunched over. For the first two songs Halford never moved, spent 'Freewheel Burning' with his back to the audience sat on his Harley & when he did move it was only to slowly walk around the stage or to walk offstage.
I've seen Priest & Whitesnake many times over the last thirty years & while they were both great, I've seen them do so much better. It was good to hear 'The Ripper' from Priest for the first time in over a decade though.
Rob has had zero presence since the reunion - I read that he is largely focussing on an autocue. Everything also seems so choreographed with KK and Glenn.
