Could this be the end of Chickenfoot?

I'm beginning to have my doubts, about the supergroup Chickenfoot, after more shows are cancelled, because of Chad Smith I believe & possibly other things. They're a great band, the debut CD rocks, but the tour seems to be falling apart. Hopefully they will get it back together, before too long or end up as a one album, one tour group, like Blind Faith.

I hate to say it but they really don't inspire me. I have listened to the album about 4 times and its mediocre. Hagar is trying to keep his youth alive but the clock is ticking. Eddie is probably somewhere having a good chuckle.

I agree that it is not a very inspired release. I found they played if very safe...sounds very much like Van Hagar....a lot of mid tempo stuff with Sammy going on and on about basically nothing....I'll take HSAS any day! If Ed and Dave do release new music it had better be a lot better than this!

I was really disappointed by the Chickenfoot record. You know, I will give Sammy credit for going full blast with publicity. It's rare you see that for an "old time" rock act anymore. But the record is missing the hooks in its writing. I'm no fan of mindless jamming for no reason...and I guess that's why I always liked Eddie's guitar...but it's apparent that the sound of the Foot is missing something. I haven't heard much about their tour. They cancelled locally due to poor sales.
