Where Classic Rock and Metal Music Fans Hang Out

Ok, what artists, and which albums, do you think were an uninterrupted period (or run) of greatness?

Here is a few I think were awesome stretches....

UFO - from the time Schenker first joined, to the time he (first) left...6 straight awesome albums...Phenomenom, Force It, No Heavy Petting, Lights Out, Stangers In The Night, and Obsession...thats 6 straight records that were all awesome in my opinion.

Aerosmith - the first 4 to start their career...Aerosmith, Get Your Wings, Toys In The Attic, and Rocks. Have not come close to reaching those heights since then...for my musical tastes, at least.

Van Halens entire output up until David Lee Roth left. Was that 5, or 6, straight killer albums? Van Halen, Van Halen II, Women And Children First, Fair Warning, Diver Down...and oh yes, 1984...so that makes 6 straight great records.

ZZ Top....from about 1972 thru 1976...4 albums...from their second one...Rio Grande Mud, all the way through Tres Hombres, Fandango, and Tejas.

The Nuge...from Ted Nugent, to Free For All, to Cat Scratch Fever, to Double Live Gonzo.

So what are some more awesome, un-interrupted, runs of excellence for anyone else?

All of Led Zep's studio albums, from the first album through "In Through The Out Door".

The Doobie Brothers from their second album, "Toulouse Street" through their eight album "Minute By Minute".

Little Feat from their second album, "Sailin' Shoes" through the fifth one, "The Last Record Album."

The J Geils Band from their first album through their last one with Peter Wolf, the live album "Showtime". That's ten studio albums & three live albums.

All six of Peter Wolf's solo albums after leaving the J Geils Band.

The Allman Brothers Band from their first album through their fifth one, "Brothers & Sisters", including "Live At Fillmore East".

Every album Otis Redding recorded before his tragic death.

Every album recorded by the original Lynyrd Skynyrd, (notwithstanding the departure of Ed King & Bob Burns, I'm referring to the band as long as Ronnie was alive).

The Black Crowes, first album through to the new one. That's eight studio releases, (nine if you count the free download available with the purchase of the new album), & four live releases, not including downloadable "Instant Live" CD's, plus the two CD "The Lost Crowes" compilation of two unreleased albums.

Every release by Stevie Ray Vaughn before he died.

Given time I can probably list quite a few more.

Thought of some more;

Marillion--"Script For A Jester's Tear" thru "Clutching At Straws" (4 albums)
Funkadelic--"Free Your Mind..." thru "One Nation Under A Groove" (8, not counting comps or live)
Raven--"Rock Until Your Drop" thru "All For One" (3)
Accept--"Restless And Wild" thru "Metal Heart" (3)
Savatage--"Hall Of The Mountain King" thru "Poets & Madmen" (8)
Megadeth--"Rust In Peace" thru "Cryptic Writings" (4)
Blue Oyster Cult--"Blue Oyster Cult" thru "Agents Of Fortune" (4) and "Mirrors" thru "The Revolution By Night" (4). I just have never been able to get into "Spectres for some reason, that's why the split.

I agree with you on Funkadelic, but the first album has to be included as well, along with the album after "One Nation...", "Uncle Jam Wants You". Great music & more daring than 90% of 70s rock or R&B ever tried to be.
